    I think a lot about this teaching special ed. in Alabama. Half my students wouldn't be labeled if their natural abilities where acknowledged by the system. They don't fit into the high stakes testing-college prep assembly line and so regular teachers don't have time for them. We need to seriously assess what our long term goals are as a country. Shortsightedness is killing us.
