I've always thought the same about bikes and Lynyrd Skynyrd
Wise words, even from a Canadian.
Lived on a farm myself so skateboards and dirt roads don't mix well it was dirtbikes all the way
alot of skateboarders when they got older and they're (our) bodies couldn't take the abuse anymore, started building hot rods, low riders, and bikes to get the same "thrill" feeling and still have a creative artistic outlet to channel our restless souls.imo.
Oh youve done it now opened a fuckin canno worms and piss no? Dont let certain people hear that orrrr ummmm .. ok thank me gbye
hahahaha I knew it, what the fuck,10 years ago Rob and I used to scream at them now they're in the same fuckin magazines
i think it's also where you grow up.there is alot of things we used to do as kids (or in our early youth) that we thought were rebellious back then. i guess alot of people as they got older still had that feeling.just moved on to bigger things.
it's a generational thing. when skateboarding is involved it's mostly dudes over 30,80's skaters, when skating was underground. we had to build our own ramps and we built, customized and rode them. it's about THE RIDE,you ride bmx, dirt bikes, surfboards, skateboards, choppers all that have very simular owner maintanece, customizing and involement. all my life it's been about the RIDE. not the drive...
For me there's no connection! I skate, but I like motorbikes because of my Pops. He hated that i skated, he wanted my ass to stay a defensive end and play ball like a religion(Fuckin' Texans)! If I did that I'd still like bikes, always have always will. People choose there route, it just so happens alot skateboarders went to motos, then there buddies wanted a piece and so on and so forth.
